Question - TDA2 - Background audio No.55704
Andy  2007-03-12 22:51:16 ( ID:y1hm/tsbyer )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hi
I got a big problem with background audio in TSUNAMI-MPEG DVD Author PRO 2

I created top menu and track menu. When I select a background audio for them (the same song for both) the song starts to play at top menu but when I switch to track menu it is starting to play from the beginning. Even when I switch to second page of track menu it's starting again. It's totally stupid. Is there any way to set the song start playing at top menu and continue on othet menus and pages??

If not this is a huge bug within this software.

nTekka  2007-03-13 17:26:30 ( ID:lgrl8ryjzyl )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Its not a bug with the program, it wasn't meant to be continuous through out the entire menu. Most commercial DVD can't even do that so you might be asking for too much.

Question - TE40 - To convert a corrupted VCD files to mpeg 1 file No.58060
Joe  2007-03-09 09:02:42 ( ID:ruzzy9lno7c )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Kindly advise the ways to convert a corrupted VCD to a mpeg 1 file.

spacysmoke  2007-03-09 21:11:27 ( ID:lgrl8ryjzyl )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

If Xpress 4.0 can't import the file, then you'll have to use some other program. Check this page out at videohelp.com:

http://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=208795

If that doesn't help, someone on that forum may be able to help you.

Question - TE25 - Audio "can not open or unsupported" Divx Mpeg-4 AVI; MP3; transcode-1.0.2 No.43649
InXanity  2007-03-06 01:48:10 ( ID:qeslrzg3qdc )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I have several AVI files in which the audio is unreadable by TMPGEnc 2.5. AVIcodec shows the following for one particular file:

File: 350 MB (350 MB), duration: 0:43:36, type: AVI, 1 audio stream(s), quality: 50 %, transcode-1.0.2, ,
Video: 310 MB, 995 Kbps, 23.976 fps, 624*352 (16:9), XVID = XVID Mpeg-4, Supported
Audio: 39 MB, 128 Kbps, 48000 Hz, 2 channels, 0x55 = MPEG Layer-3, CBR, , Supported

Each of the files I am dealing with are branded "transcode-1.0.2." Does anyone know how I can get TMPGEnc to read the audio in these files?

Bug report - TE40 - TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress freezes when opening files. No.58058
Cédrick  2007-03-01 02:03:52 ( ID:.2/x3no/rd. )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I open TMPGEnc and when I try to add any video (but i mostly do Windows Media Center TV-recorded videos and it freezes right away. The edit video window does not even open, it freezes and says this program doesn't answer. It works sometimes though, the edit window opens and everything is fine, then the next video freezes again. It un-freezes if I wait 5/6 minutes. Help would be nice. I'm using v4.2.3.193 though I have tried a more recent version and still got the same problem, and Windows Vista 32bit.

The version you are using is not fully Vista-compatible. Download the latest version (4.2.10.211) here:

ppsystem  2007-02-11 13:36:50 ( ID:whrqtudrlcm )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hello,
I'm using tmpgenc plus 2.5 and I have installed the pdvcodec(DV-AVI)from Panasonic. But in the videocompression list I can't see this pdvcodec. In virtualdub I can see this pdvcodec. So what's wrong ? Can somebody help me ?
Operating system XP SP2

Question - TE25 - saves analyzing result No.43646
davexnet  2007-02-10 05:12:20 ( ID:ofs9kdfwssj )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

If I encode a divx/xvid avi in virtualdub 2-pass, the results of the first
pass are saved on a file in the harddrive. it's there until I delete it.
I can then encode the 2nd pass as many times as I like, without having to
reproduce the analyzing result (1st pass) again.

In Tmpg, the option "saves analyzing results" seems that it's similar,
except it's not. Where are the analyzing results saved?
Does it really help the 2nd pass? I tried a 2pass vbr without specifying
"saves analyzing results", and I couldn't see the difference.

It seems that it should behave the same as virtualdub to be useful.
Unless I don't understand it's implemtation. I'm using version 2.5
Tmpgenc Plus.
Thanks for any enlightenment.
Dave

Question - TE40 - tmpgenc xpress 4 No.58054
perquin  2007-02-07 09:34:15 ( ID:ldjj1w1vell )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hello,

I'm testing tmpgenc xpress to produce file for hd dvd and bluray authoring. I have good succes in making hours of mpeg2 with tmpgenc before and really like your product.

1 Do you have template for this format ?

I can encode in MP@HL at 1920/1080 without any problem.

But I can't make MPEG4 AVC greater than 720X576 ? there is no warning in the spec !!!!

2 Do you plan to have hd in mpeg4 AVC ?

3 Do you plan to have vc1 elemantary stream (not wm9) ?

I have acces to all sonic hd dvd and bluray products, if it can help to make test

4 do you plan to add 3:2 pulldown in other format than mpeg2 ?

5 Do you plan a more easy support way ? and a forum for your buyer ?????????

Thx a lot for the help

Question - TE40 - RMVB => DivX conversion time No.58053
EatMoreChicken  2007-02-03 17:10:46 ( ID:mcyammxwt4m )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I'm using a P4 1.6ghz w/ 768mb ram to convert rmvb to divx. It take about 2-3hrs for a 45minute 512x384 video clip on a multipass (2) 1200Kbs video bite rate. If I upgraded to a faster system w/ a dual or quad process and HT, how much faster will be conversions be?
