There's a drop down menu located near the top of the window under the Format section. Set it to output each clip seperately.

Or you can just do each individual video manually and set them up each in batch mode.

Question - TE40 - 64-bit compatibility No.58224
gern  2008-06-02 20:10:47 ( ID:fk/bbu./yt2 )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Does TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress work with the 64-bit version of Windows XP? Is there a 64-bit compiled version?

Thanks!

tkrave  2008-06-14 00:16:45 ( ID:lgrl8ryjzyl )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

64-bit operating systems are not officially supported, but I've heard of people using TMPGEnc products on their 64 bit systems without problems. There's no 64-bit compiled version, but you can just try the trial and see how it works on your system.

I am currently running TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress on Windows XP 64 bit and haven't had any issues. Mainly converting H.264 content to Divx and am using CoreAVC and AC3Filter.

Question - TDA1 - TDA 1.6 Menu audio always LPCM ? No.49490
Dave  2008-06-01 22:20:57 ( ID:5fvialdxa/n )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I've used video with ac3 and mpeg audio for the menu background, but they always get converted to wave LPCM. Is there a way around this so I can keep the original audio format? I ticked the Environmental settings to AC3 default, but this seems to apply only to the loaded videos, not the menu.
I know in later TDA versions, the menu audio isn't always LPCM.

Question - TDA1 - DivX is unacceptable No.49489
charlie  2008-06-01 16:09:11 ( ID:kxnlkluwigr )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

ps.

DVD's use mpeg2 and ONLY mpeg2

DivX is totally unaceptable and should never be installed on any system.

Scrap my last message - your software cannot be trusted.

I've just tried to use 1.6 again andd my 4.4Gbyte DVD was again
cut short to 1.7Gb

I came here to buy the updated version but if you havn't bothered to
fixz this bug in V1.6 I'm not going to risk buying anything from you again

If I can look around here and find the fix I'll try it then upgradde if it works.

If I can't find it I'm buying nero.

Support means doing something about bugs not ignoring problems as this forum suggests you do all the time.

Bug report - TE40 - TMPGEnc 4.0 XPress encoding error No.58223

Question - TE40 - Can I Update the DivX Codec to Latest Codec Version? How to? No.58220
Dean  2008-05-23 18:56:17 ( ID:6cwjtvbbie. )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

The DivX codec is now at version 6.8.2 as of May '08. My TMPG Xpress is still encoding with version 5 of DivX. How can I upgrade my TMPG to run the latest version DivX codec?

TIA, Dean

huy  2008-06-07 05:37:18 ( ID:txq5tgsiqqn )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

What you'll need to do is install the latest divx codec. Then use AVI file output in Tmpgenc. From here use the latest Divx codec. Adjust the settings to your liking and encode.

If you want to do a 2 pass encode. You'll need to use the batch mode. For example, your first encode will be set multipass 1st pass. Then your second encode you'll use the Nth pass. The Nth pass will be your finished video file.

M Lisett  2008-06-20 04:10:08 ( ID:medjp4.yoma )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

ok, very simple, unsitall ALL versions of divx that you have to ensure a clean installtion of the new divx, reboot when unistalled, do system clean with any systemc leaner you have i woudl normally go for tune up utilities with its reg cleaner, then install the neweest divx , make sure tmpgenc is closed, and then when your finished open tmpgenc and it will encode in the newest format.

Question - TE40 - TMPGEnc4XP.exe Application Error No.58217
iz  2008-05-19 20:35:05 ( ID:cdg6pqrusrf )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Just installed TMPGEnc4XP.exe and received arror code "The instruction at "0x7c910de3" referenced memory at "0x3250564f". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program.

What is this error and how can I fix it?

kimhav  Home )  2008-05-29 18:18:48 ( ID:9jtrwpgyfj. )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Got the same problem with application error on a Athon 4600+ system and applies with I enable multipass during encoding. Interesting enough same version of the trial works perfect on a Intel system...

steel  2008-09-12 07:33:11 ( ID:ved.q4qih8m )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I had the same problem. Somehow it appeared to me that it is a problem with a corrupt plug-in which TMPGEncXP4 loads - in my case it was an old/corrupt QuickTime. It un-installed the old QuickTime and installed the latest version - after which the problem is resolved.

Question - TDA3 - no usable DVD writing drive ? No.60578
davidaw06  2008-05-16 20:57:23 ( ID:4ncf9fflp6. )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I am getting the following error when I try to burn a movie to DVD:
"there is no usable DVD writing drive installed". Nero or IMGBURN works just fine and allows me to write DVD's but for some reason TMPGENC will not. Any ideas?

Al  2008-07-18 19:00:19 ( ID:ls56w19bmrk )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I'm getting the same error with an HP and a ATAPI DVD A DH16A1l SCSI drive under Windows XP. Did you ever get a response or a resolution? Thanks.

magnifier512  2008-07-19 16:28:35 ( ID:vcu3.l/vh8k )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

First a friend a mine had this problem an there was no way to fix it. Now I'm stuck with this too. I've set up an new PC system but installed the old DVD drive witch worked fine in my old system, but the Software does not recognize it now. So I guess it has nothig to do with the drive. Maybe with the way windows is installed (?) beause my friend an I are using a SATA drive as the boot partition. (In my old system I used an IDE drive to install Windows XP on.)

Mitchell  2008-10-21 09:12:37 ( ID:tossvyfzav6 )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I am getting this message too! Please help!

"there is no usable DVD writing drive installed".

Apparently the drive is fine but TMpge just dosen't reconize it!

Question - TE40 - Help with output after editing with tmpgenc 4.0 xpress No.58213
wr44  2008-05-14 23:37:04 ( ID:b6ezy.b25q. )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hi I'm using tmpgenc 4.0 xpress to edit an avi file, that I only want certain parts of. So I edit it all in tmpgenc 4.0 xpress, that's fine. But the file is already encoded how I want it...so I just want to output with the same settings for video and audio just with the edit included (like direct stream copy in VirtualDub). But I can't find the equivalent in tmpgenc 4.0 xpress. Anyone help?

Cheers

M Lisett  2008-06-20 04:19:23 ( ID:medjp4.yoma )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

quite simple, you are altering the actual structure of the video and audio therfore are now unable to do a simple direct stream copy. As you have edited the video and audio it will now need to encode the video and audio.

Or dont use the product for this, go into nandub select the start and finish points of clip 1 , do the direct stream copy and save avi , this will save clip 1....do the follwoing process for all clips of the item you are editing, and then what you do is use nandub again but this time load clip1 and then use appen segment i believe its called and simple load clip 2 and so fourth. and then do direct stream copy etc.

how ever you re unable to do the direct stream copy if you alter the audio bitrate, or the aspect ratio or res of the video via its filters, and again this is becuase you would have altered the structure of the video, and if you did this you would essentially need to encode the final product when all clips are together.

if how ever this is a tv capture, then the encoding when all together isnt abad idea as you would need to use the cropping/resize filter to crop the borders.
