I edit out two segments and save each. I join them using Camel. When I play the joined video, it stops at the join point. I have to manually move the scroll bar forward and then it will play. How can I get it to play without stopping at the join point? Another question: can I join segments with TMPGEnc? The button does say merge/cut.
Well the tab that says "Merge & Cut" Means Exactly that..Even a Child should be able to figure out how to use it..you just load your files into the window in the order that you want them joined then choose the output directory and click "Run" simple as that...can help you with your other problem Cuz That seems like a "Camel Joiner" problem....
Like I have said before. That proggy is crap and you will have many other problems with it too.
It does NOT join MPEGs correctly.
Use TMPG it's the best way to do it and click the 'correct' button before you join.
When using TMPGE lately, all my movies are being encoded as a file and not MPEG VCD or SVCD. It did not do this before. When I chose the settings for MPEG VCD or SVCD it would encode to these formats. Now it is encoding to a file format. I do not have the trial version. I purchased it. Any help would be appreciated.
What do you mean a file. What sort of file, with what extension?
TMPG only creates MPEGs which are compatible for VCD or SVCD authoring and doesn't create the VCD/SVCD itself.
This sounds more like a Windows problem. You need to open Folder Options in the Control Panel, then click on the File Type tab, find the Mpeg extension and find what program it is associated. You can Change it to Windows Media player or WinDVD or whatever programs you have.
It usually means that your File is Corrupted..And if it happens over and over at the same spot then it is Definately corrupted...You can try to fix it my going to "options" to "Enviromental Settings" to "CPU" and disable the "SSE & SSE-2" then go to "settings" to "QuantiZe Matrix" and Un-Check the "Use Floating piont DCT" this should stop the error from happening but the encodeing speed will be Very slow..Another solution is to try to Frameserve the file to tmpgenc with AVISynth or Virtual Dub.This error is very common with files Downloaded off the net as Many have problems with them which is why Most experienced Users of Tmpgenc don"t use downloaded movies ....
I get this error when min bitrate in CQ is set to an 'bad' value, for instance 10, changing this to 0 or 50 makes the 'Illegal floating decimal point calculation order' dissapear.
Hi, When i try and load a ac3 audio file into tmpg enc to convert to a mpeg i get a system crash (blue screen etc) I have a xp2.1 with aBit m/b hope someone can help, I have tried the latest version also, still same :(
Well Of course it is going to crash or something Cuz Tmpgenc doesn"t natively Support AC3 Audio..Some poeple have been able to get it to work by Installing a Compatible AC3 Filter....
Hey I love this software i use it almost every day.. the only feature i would like to see is a batch mpeg tools option. im doing alot of cutting editing joining, muxin demuxin and it would be great to set it up to run and be able to come back and all 50 operations (just an ex) are done, very similar to the batch setup with the encodes. other then that great peice of software
Hi,
I am trying to use TMPGEnc to convert my avi to mpg2.
The avi are from my digital caemera and my DC is Fuji finepix F401.
When I try to open the avi, program pops a window said "can't be open or unsupport".
Anyone can help me on this issue?
Maybe it should be the default setting when TMPEGnc is installed. If your tired of anwsering this question, complain to the people who write the updates for TMPGENc, maybe they will change it in the next release. Or just don't respond at all.
That was very helpfull...I complain to Tmpgenc and they do nothing and then I ignore every one and no one gets there questions answered...ThanX I"ll Do that...
Nice one Minion. I agree with you mate. You only have to have a quick look at the posts to find the answer or use that box thingy above that says SEARCH.
Why is it all the have-a-go hero's just wanna give somebody a hard time for stating the obvious instead of doing something more constructive like answering questions and not knocking the others that do help out for their entitled opinions.
Minion is a VERY helpful guy and just because he is 'merely' making a point there is no need to give him a hard time on the very few occasions when he gets fed up every now and then of the same lame ass question which as he quite rightly states is all over this goddam board when simply using the power of one brain cell and taking a quick look around will yield the answer.
If it wasn't for Minion it probably wouldn't get answered in the first place. I stopped answering that question ages ago because it was obvious certain people were not even bothering to help themselves especially when the answer is usually right under their nose.
The program crashed when I tried to open a DV AVI file. Since a lot of people have DV Camera this question will be asked over and over when somebody is new to TMPGnc. This should be given as information with the program.I was lucky Minion gived the solution. Thanks.
Are you Talking about the DVD2AVI.VFP Plugin??If you don"t see it listed in the "Vfapi Plugins" in the "Enviromental Settings" then Go into the "DVD2AVI" Folder and Copy and paste the "DVD2AVI.VFP" File into the Tmpgenc Folder then restart the aplication and it should be listed in the plugins list...
Help !
Similar to a previous post, I have an AVI encoded using XVID codec. When I review under VirtualDub it shows the audio is 5 channels. So first question -
Does this mean it's in 5.1 surround sound?
If it is .. how can I add all the channels to my DVD when I burn?
I have encoded many movies using TMPGE to MPEG2, then authored using Dazzle or Spruceup, but each time the best I get is 2 channel stereo audio.
I have tried seperating the audio from the AVI to an AC3 file using VirtualDub direct stream copy which works, but how do I then get that file back into the movie with all the sound channels???
What you have to do is either Demux the audio or extract it to AC3 and then after encodeing just the video to Mpeg you Mux the AC3 audio to the mpeg2 video..Now the problem is getting the AC3 Audio out of your AVI file..What you will need is "Virtual Dub" and "AC3FiX" Virtual Dub actually just Demuxes the AC3 file and put"s a WAV header on the File, so you Load the file into Virtual Dub and Save as a wav the ReName it as an AC3 file, then load it in AC3fiX and it will correct the Header..Now just encode the Avi file to a M2V Video file and after encodeing just Mux the AC3 with the M2V file and that is It...you can get ac3FiX here: http://www.quellicheilpc.it/quelli02/download.php?op=getit&lid=84
If you download Virtualdub_Ac3 and use the direct stream copy option you won't need the extra step. Just name the file with an .ac3 extension.
Another way and I think more reliable is to use AVImux to extract the Ac3.
Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to help.
I tried the way Minion suggested and it works a treat !!!
Fantastic 5.1 surround sound on my burnt DVD.
Cheers again Minion !!
Bobby
PS. Ashy .. I'll give your suggestion a go as well. Thanks.
I have a problem using TMPGENC. If I try to load Avisynth (*.avs) files, it says "Can not open or unsupported". I tried setting the priority of the VFAPI Plugins a lot of ways, but it not worked, it just keeps saying the same error message. Someone please could help me with fixing this?
The only thing I can think of is to "Dis-Able" the "Direct show" in the "Vfapi Plugins"...if that don"t work you can try to frame serve with something else like "V-Dub"....
Minion: I tried disabling DirectShow, but that did not solved my problem. The biggest problem is that I want to use DVD2SVCD to convert movies, but that is only working with AVISynth, not with V-Dub.
ABS: in the plug-in list I have a .DLL called Avisynth reader, so I have that installed, but still it says "cannot open or unsupported".
Is there any way to fix this problem, or it is a new kind of problem?
The only solution I can think of is for you to re-name tmpgenc.ini to another name, like tmpgenc.bak, then delete CurrentCfg.tpr and which will allow the program to return to it's original settings. I have solved few problems like that in the past.
NOTE: when replacing tmpgenc.ini, your user defined Q-matrixs will be unreacable, this is why I said to rename it and not delete it so In case you'll need them you could could still copy them from the file later...
Wait a second, found out another thing that causes this!
After you created the .d2v file, did you delete the source file on which you ran DVD2AVI? if the original file isn't found it also causes this!
ABS: Thanks for the suggestions, I tried them out, but they did not worked for my problem... Maybe it is got something to do with my TMPGENC version (2.54)?
Have you actually tried re-installing AVIsynth? It won't work unless you have it installed correctly. The easy way to check is to open the .AVS file with mediaplayer, it should play the file as if it was a movie if everthing is working ok.
Also what Version of AVisynth are you using?
i'm just a beginner but i was getting a simllar message trying to convert avi to mpg and virtual dubit would not work either. Turned out i did not have the correct codec. Need mpg4v3. Installing new codecs solved my unsupported error.
I'm trying to convert a movie that's avi format to mpeg. The movie is DivX encoded.
When I try to load it as the video sorce, it says "File can not open, or unsupported.
Is there some setting I need to change, or does the program not support DivX?
"OPtions" to "Enviromental Settings" to "Vfapi Plugins" raise the "direct Show" to "2"...Look before you post next time this question has been answered literally Hundreds of times and usually half a doZZen times a Day....
