I got a big problem with background audio in TSUNAMI-MPEG DVD Author PRO 2

I created top menu and track menu. When I select a background audio for them (the same song for both) the song starts to play at top menu but when I switch to track menu it is starting to play from the beginning. Even when I switch to second page of track menu it's starting again. It's totally stupid. Is there any way to set the song start playing at top menu and continue on othet menus and pages??

If not this is a huge bug within this software.

Its not a bug with the program, it wasn't meant to be continuous through out the entire menu. Most commercial DVD can't even do that so you might be asking for too much.

When I import a title from a DVD+RW disc (recorded with a Philips recorder), the file stored on HDD is often splitted into many *.dat files.
When this happens I always get a short sound drop out in every split.
It is also indicated in the edit thumbnail window where the GOP sequence of normally 10 frames in each GOP becomes a GOP of only one frame.

The sound drop out is not only when editing. It is produced in the output and is also visible in the audio waveform window.

This problem does not occur when I import the same DVD-titles using TDA version 1.6.34.89

I've just tried for the third or fourth time to get the latest version of DVD Author Pro to burn DVDs. I've been using DVD Author Pro since the trial version was first released without any problems. If I uninstall this latest version and re-install the previous version, it all works again. Is anyone else having the same problem?

I've got an AMD XP3200+ in an ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe mobo (nForce2 u400), 2 x 512Mb PC3200 DDR from Crucial, 1 x Western Digital 200Gb IDE (8Mb cache), 2 x Western Digital SATA, Leadtek Gf4 TI4200, a Liteon DVD ROM (SOHD-16P9S), a LG DVD-RW (GSA-4163B), WinXP Home (SP2). Everything is up to date.

Any ideas gratefully received.

I have exactly the same problem with a DVD+RW from NEC. I have registered the problem in the support area from pegasys but not a solution till now.

I have also the same problem. My writer is a NEC ND-3520A.

Glad I'm not the only one! let's hope Tsunami pull their fingers out and release an upgrade that works for us. (If only the guys at Videoredo would write an authoring package . . . !)

I had the same problem, but it was all fixed when i reverted back 1 version.
seems as though not everyone can burn with the newer version.

SO try to find the 2.1.5.77 version and get rid of the .80

Hi SuperFly, yeah, I always try to keep at least the last working version of downloaded software. Same as you, reverted to the earlier version and I can burn again. I just wish they'd speed up the updates! :)

I have downloaded and installed TMPGEnc DVD Author 2.0 Ver. 2.1.7.88 Retail Version, entered my License Serial Number from the PRO version. After the validation, I have erased and burnd a DVD; everything was working fine. Author 2.0 is the new name of Author PRO.

BeTa, you beat me to it! I was just going to post the same thing here - my newly downloaded & installed DVD Author 2 (which, according to the website is exactly the same as DVD Author Pro) is now burning disks quite happily.

What about subtitles? Is there a posibility to compie a DVD with subtitles?

I am using Tmpgenc Autor for about 2 years an have had only the problem with two audio streams and 16:9 menues. So I have bought the PRO version. But this program is so very slowly you will get nuts. (I have a Pentium IV 3Ghz 512Mb) The video display is not able to play the movie in realtime. Every 10 sec. an errormessage ->the audiodelay ....<-

Is it possable to use different time-length to each separate slide in the slide
show function ?

When will Tsunami DVD Author Pro be available at retail in the U.S.A. It was promised last month. I can buy Tsunami Author 1.6 now, but I want the pro version because it cuts inside the GOPs and it will accept all of my video source files........the additional features are nice also, but not a factor in my decision of which one to buy.
