Question - No Audio No.48851
sjhc1177  2003-11-16 15:29:39 ( ID:yyf9xwk7awf )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hi I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I haven't made any movies in a few months. And when I try now using tmpgenc from Divx movies to tmpgencDVD the audio directory is blank. But tmpgenc had made the m2v and wav files. But when authored there's no audio?

Anyone know what to do. I've tried reinstalling and nothing helps.

If your sound is AC3 format, it will not be supported by TMPGEnc at the moment.

hi,

i got several vob files with ac3 sound which i want to burn as a dvdr...
but when i click add file and select the vob.. he tells me there is on audio? what should i do? :/

B_Racer  2003-11-17 08:34:01 ( ID:0jd4rmr3tyn )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I don't know where your VOBs are from, but some Programs do produce Streams with wronge Stream-Numbers for the Audio-Parts, especialy if the VOB was stripped from a DVD. Try to use TMPGENc to Demux the VOBs first.

I had the same problem, i used dvd2avi to rip the audio out. worked like a dream

This tool is awesome for creating motion menu thumbs -- I only have two complaints:

1. we need the ability to add subtitles -- many people like me import their dvdshrink processed files into this tool to add menus, but then we lost our subtitle or other language track.

2. if the above is a big deal, then, allowing users to add their own frames (in addition to adding background images and rectangula buttons, which the tool already supports) and modify the themes shouldn't be that hard. Plus, can you provide better background images, frames and buttons, the ones come with the tool are simply awful. Also, provide more motion menu backgrounds like other similar apps do.

I will wait to see if these two issues can be addressed quickly before I put my money in.

Typing Chinese Characters for menu names and items don't work.

HAHA  2003-11-05 07:53:32 ( ID:uexq2jhhhql )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Why you think it is Bug?

You can use the Chinese version from Chinese Windows.

The English product should still have support for multi-byte characters, because very often english products are upgraded first, and as such, users install English products on their local OS.

HAHA  2003-11-07 03:53:22 ( ID:uexq2jhhhql )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

>The English product should still have support for multi-byte characters,
In my knowledge, the newest version will not support for multi-byte characters
again, cause of the copyright problem, cause the most of chinese user never buy software license. It is normal result.

Request - split in two files No.48835
richard  2003-10-29 14:45:16 ( ID:pn/gdq3thyn )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

how can i convert avi to svcd and split it in multiple files to write on multiple 80 mins cds ? i cannot find an option for this.
tnx.

caesarkent  2003-10-29 21:09:47 ( ID:.6b7aobq/x2 )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

DVD Author doesn't create SVCDs. You want to use something like
DVDx (you can find pointers to it on www.dvdrhelp.com) to create
your SVCD files. (I've never tried to go from a .AVI to SVCD; you
might need to convert the AVI to DVD (using TMPGEnc and DVD Author)
and then use DVD2SVCD or DVDx to convert it to a multi-disk SVCD.

Question - Last menu works on PC, but not on standalone! Please HELP!!! No.48832
ThaTrik  2003-10-29 00:42:31 ( ID:y0cv6nkdwhf )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

OK, so my DVD has a main menu and 3 sub-menus. For some reason, when you open my third sub-menu on a standalone DVD player, you can't select/click any of the buttons! For some reason, however, it works on a DVD-ROM drive! I think this may have something to do with compatibility, when i was building the DVD imagine it said "compatiblity: pc-based software dvd players"... is this the problem? if so, how do i change it to work on a standalone? if not, what is the problem?? any help would be greatly appretiated!! thankyou!!!

If you are using Adobe Encore, ask Adobe. That's the Web-Board for TMPGEnc DVD Author...

Jaap  2003-10-26 09:30:03 ( ID:nbpc6d.5p6. )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I had to edit the input file because the .m2v file was moved to another disk. After that all defined chapters were gone....

Would be nice if the chapters could be retained.

That's normal, if you cange the Movie, you will loss all you Chapter-Infos.
Copy the Movie back to the old Location and load the old Project-File.

You have a Movie... What kind of Movie? AVI, MPEG, what ever? DivX, DV, MKV, MPEG2...?

B_Racer  2003-10-28 08:42:41 ( ID:0jd4rmr3tyn )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

You did not answer any of my questions, so NOBODY will be able to help you.

TMPGEnc ist the Encoder, TMPGEnc DVD Author is the Authoring program which needs the Output from the Encoder.
The Encoder can't handle AVIs with VBR-Audio correctly, so if this is you problem, you have to use VirtualDub to decode the Audio-Part first to WAV.

royster  2003-10-28 17:30:49 ( ID:knko8etqfhw )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I'm sorry i have converted from avi to mpg then to m2v by using tmpgenc and then used tmpgencAuthor to burn it off but with no sound :~( does that make sence to you.? ,so i have to get virtual dub to do the audio !ok i got that! also it says add a track which i cant seem to get ? but i can get the chapters ? so if this is any help to you to help me?? i hope it does .and i hope you can :~)ty

michaelb79  2003-11-12 20:21:46 ( ID:/tykn26zqf2 )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Sounds to me like you just need to not encode to elementary streams (m2v, wav, mp2,...).

When using the encoder, select it to make a "System" file (video and audio).

m2v is only video

M peg
2
V ideo

You just need the audio to go with it.

Encode to a system file (mpg). DVD Author should be able to use mpg.

Hint: In the encoder, encode your audio to 48000Hz, 224 Bits. This will allow you to not have to have DVD Author re-encode the audio. Thus, the DVD creation will be much faster.

Any other questions. Email me at michaelb79@hotmail.com.

Royster, don't all theese people make it sound complicated. I do what you want to do, download a movie, convert it and write to dvd, play dvd on your dvd linked to your TV.

First get cucusoft avi-dvd software www.cucusoft.com easily converts the program to m2v. Much easier I find than any other software and works every time.

Sececond use tmpenc dvd author to create the dvd files and also to write the dvd.

Third make sure your TV dvd player is dvd-r compatible, older models will not play dvd-r discs.

You won't need any instructions to do any of this, took me ten minutes to get it going.

P.S. latest version of tmpgenc dvd author allows batch conversion, great product and worth registering.

Question - Latest DVD Author installed ezSP_Px.exe in my tasklist? No.48821
deskgrunt  2003-10-24 01:06:31 ( ID:4niysfrh8vw )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

It seems that latest DVD Author installed the app ezSP_Px.exe in my tasklist to load at startup.

Anyone know what it is and if it's safe to remove?
I don't use the DVD writing tool and I think it has something to do with that...

I prefer to have as few programs possible to run in the background while capturing video...

HAHA  2003-11-05 08:03:19 ( ID:uexq2jhhhql )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

This is just a burning relatif engine. If you remove it, it may some trouble with TMPGEnc DVD Author's writing tool.

Question - Not full movie No.48818
sion3000  2003-10-23 14:46:20 ( ID:8yfrh0k0y/a )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I have converted 2 or 3 movies using Tmpgenc Dvd author and 2day i tried 2convert another 1. But when i was checking the movie when it had finished authoring it i noticed that it had only converted 500mb of the film instead of 4.1gb (im doing this exactly the same way as i did the other ones) the format of the movie im authoring is 720 x 567 (mpeg2 format) and plays fine. Could there be a problem with the mpg ? Ive tried re-converting it from the oringinal avi many times but still it hits a problem in extactly the same place.

Could anyone sugest why this is not working ?

HAHA  2003-11-05 08:07:51 ( ID:uexq2jhhhql )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

What's sort of Movie, what type it is, it is impossible to know your issue?

Maarten  2004-07-12 08:04:23 ( ID:it9qypvc/p6 )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I have the same problem
I maid a mpeg file whit pinnacle (i took the option for dvd compatible
pal 756x480 and a bitrate of 8000 and 25f/s) my avi file is about 3.5 GB
and when i do the conversion to VOB he just makes only 1.4 GB

anny one a solution for this, or an other programm to convert mpeg to VOB ?
