I'm trying to connect the first play and the main menu, but in the final dvd big difference, switch from first play to main menu get bad, video is stretched to main menu and it turns out the big difference between the first play in main menu.both the video is made from a single shared file. why?? if you can tell me how can i solve this problem?
I have authored a BD-R disc with TAW5.
The client asks me now to produce a version with subtitles.
I no longer have the project files (TAW file, source video, etc...)
Is it possible (easy) to rip this BD, and re-author it in order to add subtitles (closed captioning), keeping the video & audio streams intact (no retranscoding) ?
I am recording a video game playthrough with Fraps and then converting the AVI files to DIVX with Video Master Works 5.
No problem there, but if i take one of the converted DIVX files and then try to cut the first 50 seconds out, the audio does not seem to be synched.
The audio plays as if it started from the original 50 seconds i cut out.
I am using Normal mode and have set the Audio gap to -5000 and -50000 and the audio sounds the same either way.
The same thing happens if i try to take a converted DIVX file and cut out a 20 second block in the middle of the file. The audio does not appear to be cut out of the 20 second block.
Ok, I still haven't figured out why I can't get the audio to synch after processing the file a second time, but if i make the edits on the original unconverted file, the audio synchs correctly.
I don't know if there is any way around it, so i re-recorded my original videos and will just do all the processing from the uncompressed file.
The reason i wanted to process it a second time was due to the time involved in originally processing each file. I could process an hour or 2 of uncompressed videos to a smaller size and then come back later to edit them to free up a lot of disk space, which unfortunately doesn't look like i can.
Hello,
I just bought and installed TMPGEnc Authoring Works 5.
And installing, validated my key, program would start.
It would get almost all the way loaded trhen crashes everytime with these errors.
EAccessViolation occurred - module TMPGEncAuthoringWorks5.exe/6FA1B11B
At address 6FA1C11B , Write error occurred against address 6FA1C11B.
FastMM has detected a GetMem call after FastMM was uninstalled.
What does all this mean and why won't this run right?
I mean $100 is alot of money to spend on something that won't work!
Update:
All it needed was for Apple Quicktime to be installed doh!

I'm having trouble creating a DVD. There are three tracks, the first has only one video with two audio tracks. Track two and three both have five videos each.
The first and third tracks are fine.
On the second track, video two and five show the following error when attempting to access them, either with the simulation mode or by creating an output file.
"An error occured during a process. (Error code: 0x80044009)"
My first thought was the video files had a problem but I replaced them and it has the same error. I even changed the order of the video files and it is always the second and fifth video, no matter what the video actually is.
What was originally the second video works perfectly if I swap it with the first video, for example.
Finally, I installed Authoring Works on my laptop to see what would happen and it had the exact same problem, so I'm kinda stuck.
Just downloaded the trial version of TMPGEnc Authoring Works. The program crashes when I click on Preferences. It also crashes when I try to open a file.
I've added a 1080 50p m2ts file from my camcorder to a 'AVHCH Progressive' project but there's no Smart Render tag, just Full Render.
The file is compliant as it's direct from the camera.
Can TAW5 SR 1080 50p files?
Here is the media info for the said file....

The reason it will go to full render is 1080 50P is not bluray compliant. It has to be 50i.
However if you really want to play 1080 50P video as I do, you have to use AVCHD software and burn it to DVD. This will then play in bluray players.
You can record about 60 minutes to a dual layer dvd disc at very good quality. I'm sure it is sharper and more pleasing to watch than Bluray at 1080 50i.
I bought Authoring Works 5 in the hope that it would author AVCHD at 1080 50P onto DVD disc but it does not.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHY ?????????????
Does anyone know a way around this using Authoring Works 5?
When I import Quicktime Reference (QTRef) files into TVMW5 that were exported from an Avid Media Composer 1080P sequence, TVMW5 is expanding the color space if the QTRef file uses 709 color space. In other words, I import a file with 709 color space (16 - 235)into TVMW5, and the color space is automatically remapped to RGB color space (0 - 255.) QTRef files already in RGB color space are left alone -- only QTRef files using 709 space are expanded. The result is that both 709 QTRefs and RGB QTRefs exported from Avid look EXACTLY THE SAME in TVMW5.
To test the situation I took a sequence in Avid and output two separate Quicktime Reference files from it, one with the original 709 color space (16 - 235), and the second with the color space expanded to RGB levels (i.e. 0 - 255.)
I then viewed the exported QTRef files in Quicktime, Windows Media Player, and Media Player Classic and confirmed that the two QTRef files had different color spaces. As expected, it was quite easy to see that the 709 export had lighter blacks than the RGB export.
I then imported the two QTRef files into TVMW5. Without applying ANY filters, the files appeared EXACTLY the same. The RGB QTRef was left alone, but the 709 export had its color space expanded/remapped to RGB.
The tests confirm that with HD projects, TVMW5 remaps 709 levels to RGB levels.
It's important to note that this ONLY happens with HD content. If I instead export a QTRef from an Standard Def project (which uses 601 instead of 709 space), the remapping/expansion does NOT happen. The 601 color space QTRef from the SD project is NOT auto-expanded to RGB space. This indicates that the issue is either with HD content (vs SD), or with 709 color space (vs 601.)
I cannot get the menue item highlight to chane solors. It used the yellow for selection and red for action no matter where I cahnge it. I have red for selection and yellow for action in global settings and it will not change in my menu.
Is it possible to use picture files (jpg, png etc.) in Smart Renderer 4? It seems the only way to insert them is in tiled mode. It would be a nice feature to have.
with 5.3.1.85 pegasys improved the x264 encoder has problems encoding fade-ins at the start of a video if the video transitions from an all white frame or an all black frame. since this problem disappears after the first few frames of the video, i am assuming this is a bug. but could someone suggest how to decrease these macroblocking artifacts. is it possible to disable mbtree.
I have an mp4 movie file that needs simple filtering. There is no accompanying SRT file but when I open it in Video Mastering Works 5, bold subtitles appear throughout. Dialogue and descriptive subtitles that I don't want like: "Man coughing", "Dog Barking: Woof Woof".
I normally play videos in Media Player Classic and the subs never appear. The new file I make now has the subtitles.
How can I disable these unwanted subtitles from appearing?
If the subtitles are not "burned-in" the video, try this: Install mkvtoolnix, then open mkvmerge. Drag'n'drop your mp4 file inside. You should see below the video, the audio, and the subtitles. Deselect the subtitles, and create a new mkv file. I don't know Video Mastering Works handles embedded subtitles in a mp4 file, but you could use this new mkv file. There is no quality loss with mkvmerge, it is just a remux to mkv.
