I've installed TMPGEnc 3.0 XPress but upon starting it, I got an error message saying
"Unable to use the Windows Media 9 Technology. Please verify that Windows Media 9 Player is properly installed."
I'm running XP SP1 and have so far resisted upgrading to WMP 9. Does TMPGEnc 3.0 absolutely require WMP 9 to work at all? If so, I may have to go back to TMPGEnc 2.5. Can some kind soul out there confirm?
I am trying to encode a divx file to mpeg to put it on a dvd-r. For some reason, when I am on screen 4/5 of the wizard (bitrate setings screen) I cannot select an average bitrate below 3000. When I type a number below 3000, Once the box loses focus, the value gets reset to 3000 again. I have the problem with all types of rae control modes. Is there some reason 3000 is the minimum?
First show. Title 2 of FARSCAPE3_5A, season 3 disc 5-A. The usual; TDA thinks the episode ends at 00:42:38;09 -- and, of course, it doesn't. It doesn't -- again, of course -- end that early for other DVD authoring programs, either.
I hope many ppl agree with me on this one. TMPGenc is a very useful but highly time consuming product. It would be nice to see features enabling distributed processing, ie encoding one file using many PCs. Some people dont have the luxury of multi-processor motherboards, however, there are many who do have more than one PC.
I must admit that i dont really know much about how the programing works, but isnt there a way to utilise the multithreding support to share the workload over a network?
Well, any information on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
PS. I think this has been mentioned somewhere else on this board, but it wast a direct request so I thought it was necessary. ;)
Awhile back you emailed me your tmpgenc templates for vcd and svcd...I just had a hard drive crash and was wondering if you could send them to me again.

Will there be any chance to convert RMVB to MPEG using TMPGEnc Xpress 3.0? The quality of RMVB seems pretty good and I'll love to see TMPGEnc can do the conversion.
